The Bottom of the Void, also known as mark101 or The Let's Play Archive, after its YouTube channel names, is a Minecraft-based Web series.
Act 1[edit | edit source]
Act 1 takes place on the YouTube channel mark101. It follows a player named mark101 who witnesses strange occurences in his Minecraft world.
Act 2[edit | edit source]
Act 2 takes place on the YouTube channel The Let's Play Archive. It follows a character called Nguyen who has just completed a Let's Play with his brother[citation needed] Jamie. He shows off new features in a version codenamed 'Minecraft Delta', a play on the alpha and beta stages of development of programs. Once Jamie leaves the game, Nguyen builds a structure on top of a hill, causing the world to undergo similar changes to mark101's world in Act 1.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- In the video 'aud02', the players speak of a fictional Web series named 'Versions of Alpha', and one player asks 'B4 when'. This is a reference to the Web series 'Minecraft Alpha 1.0.16 Versions'. At the time the video was released, the developers had announced a version codenamed 'R4', but it had not released for a long time.
